Heading Home

When we were at the airport, because there had been some rain there was also a rainbow. If you've seen my other blog (http://sheriffsinlethbridge.blogspot.com/), you'll know I like taking pictures of rainbows! It also seemed like a nice way for Hawaii to say goodbye to us, particularly since we loved it there so much.

I also really like taking pictures from airplanes, so on the way from Calgary to Lethbridge I took a ton of pictures. Things look so different from the sky.

Look! There is water in Alberta!

Inside the little plane.

Crop circles! (made by pivot irrigators)

Foothills in the distance. I liked the heavy cloud cover.

Feedlot seen from above.

Back home

It was a great trip, but it is always good to be home again.

Last Day in Hawaii

On our last day in Hawaii, we didn't fly out until the evening. Jochen offered to drive us around the coast a bit so we could see areas other than Waikiki. Hawaii is so beautiful. The pictures from the hotel in the morning look like the weather was bad, but in fact, we went to the beach in the morning before our driving tour.

Not sure what kind of bird, but pretty.

Sandy Beach

Trick kite

Perfect sand (hence the name Sandy Beach!)

These 2 labbies liked swimming, as long as their owner was close by.

All done!

This guy just wanted the ball!

Something about this picture seems a bit fake.

More chickens!

A random bird flew into my frame.

The sky was getting heavy.
